Nawanshahr:- The monthly meeting of Senior Citizens Association Nawanshahr was held under the patronage of Chairman Dr. JD Verma and the chairmanship of President Professor SK Bruta at the Deputy Commissioner Meeting Hall. At the beginning of the meeting, Chairman Dr. Verma welcomed all the members present.
President SK Bruta gave detailed information about the projects carried out by the association last month such as planting saplings and organizing blood donation camps and thanked all the colleagues who supported these projects.
General Secretary SK Puri gave information about the activities of the meeting held last month. Like every time, the members whose birthdays and wedding anniversaries fall in the month of September were congratulated and congratulated by the presidium by presenting flowers. Apart from this, discussions were also held about celebrating Senior Citizens Day in the next month, October.
Dr. Shailaja Bedi, an ENT specialist from Bedi Hospital, Nawanshahr, who specially attended the meeting, gave information about the problems and problems faced by the elderly in old age and shared his ideas about their relief. Apart from this, Dr. Shailaja also told about the facilities provided to the patients at Bedi Hospital. Dr. Shailaja Bedi was honored by the presidium by giving a bouquet of flowers.
Finally, grief was expressed for the loss caused due to the floods in the country and a two-minute silence was observed to pay tribute to the people who lost their precious lives. On this occasion, Senior Vice President M. P.
