Chandigarh, September 14- Punjab Civil Secretary and President of the Retired Officers Association Shamil Sharma said that an important meeting of the association was held in Chandigarh. Mrs. Harpreet Kaur Babla, Mayor Chandigarh attended the meeting.
During this, Mr. Sharma told the Mayor that the pensioners and employees of the Punjab Government are not even being given the installments of dearness allowance by the Central Pattern and the Punjab Government and they are getting 11% less DA. 
The Chandigarh Administration has also given the arrears of DA and Pay Commission of the Central Pattern to its pensioners and employees, but the arrears of Pay Commission have not been given to the employees of the Punjab Government yet. 
Mrs. Harpreet Kaur Babla assured that they will raise the matter with the Punjab Government and the Governor of Punjab regarding their demands.
The team of the association welcomed Mrs. Babla by presenting a bouquet of flowers. At this time, Councilor of Sector 22 Sardar Damanpreet Singh was also present. He was honored by presenting him with a siropa. Damanpreet Singh also assured that he would try his best to get his demand accepted after sending his memorandum to the Chief Minister.
On this occasion, Manohar Singh Makkar, Umakant Tiwar, Karnail Singh Saini, Dhanna Singh, B.S. Sodhi, Sukhdev Singh, Surjit Singh, Sital Chandan, Surekha and Asha Sood were present.
