
Congress remembers Gandhi and Shastri on their birth anniversaries
Chandigarh- Chandigarh Congress workers, led by H.S. Lucky, gathered today at the Congress Bhawan in Sector 35 to pay heartfelt tributes to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on their birth anniversaries.

Speaking on the occasion, Chandigarh MP Manish Tewari said that during the freedom struggle, Mahatma Gandhi brought together millions of people from diverse cultural, religious, and economic backgrounds, and his efforts laid the foundation for an inclusive, secular, and socialist India.
He said that today, Mahatma Gandhi is admired worldwide for his humanitarian philosophy and message of religious harmony and universal brotherhood. Tewari also praised former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri's role in the 1965 war, in which India, under his leadership, achieved a resounding victory over Pakistan.
Stressing that Gandhiji's teachings are even more relevant today, H.S. Lucky stressed the need to imbibe his message in our lives.
On this occasion, the Chandigarh Congress also wished the people a Happy Dussehra.
