Known as the nursery of football, Mahilpur is a place where football activities are often held, but the oldest and all-India level football tournament in Punjab is the Principal Harbhajan Singh Memorial Football Tournament, Mahilpur. It was organized for the 62nd time by the Principal Harbhajan Singh Sporting Club. It is the oldest tournament in Punjab, as well as a top-level tournament held according to the rules of the Indian Football Federation.

Recently, I came across a story of a 75-year-old man who was roaming around the city at this advanced age, selling calendars, maps and charts for children. When someone asked him that this age is for sitting at home and resting while you wander around outside all day, the old man replied that if I stay at home all day, I will nag my daughters-in-law and children. "The light is on, the water is left on, the children are on their mobile phones" etc. Such nagging is not liked by the current generation and doing so will reduce my dignity and disturb the peace of the house. The man's reasoning was that I walk 10-15 kilometers every day, meet hundreds of people, earn income and sleep peacefully after eating bread and water in the evening. I am also happy and my family is also happy. This story shows the gap that has arisen between generations in today's time.
