Nawanshahr:- An anti-drug awareness camp was organized by the Red Cross Integrated Rehabilitation Center for Drug Victims, Nawanshahr, under the "Drug-Free India Campaign" at Bhai Sangat Singh Ji Khalsa College, Banga. This camp was presided over by Dr. Ranjit Singh (Principal) and welcomed the Red Cross team.
On this occasion, Chaman Singh (Project Director) while addressing the students said that the treatment of people suffering from drugs is done completely free of cost in Red Cross Drug Detoxification Centers and Government Hospitals/Centers. On this occasion, he informed the college students about drugs and said that the Government of India and the Punjab Government have put in full effort at their level to make the country drug-free.
The war against drugs scheme launched by the government has also started yielding good results. He said that in today's time, students are falling into the trap of drugs while studying. At a young age, young boys and girls get caught in the swamp of drugs and get caught in love affairs, due to which they also deviate from their goals, due to which more divorces are happening today and married life is also being destroyed, due to which the fabric of society is getting confused. In the end, everyone took a pledge to stay away from drugs under the Drug-Free India Campaign that they will never use drugs in their life.
On this occasion, Mr. Vijay Kumar, Councilor shared information about the works and activities of the center and told that the Red Cross is providing its services all over the world. On this occasion, Mr. Gursharan Singh (Professor) moderated the stage and presented his views on drugs. On this occasion, Shri Kamaljit Kaur (School Incharge) made the students aware about drugs and said that you should never use any drug, if you need any kind of help then share it with the teachers. 
Finally, the college honored the Red Cross team with religious books. On this occasion, staff members Satnam Singh, Rupinder Kaur, Inderjit Kaur, Varinderjit Kaur, and a large number of students were present.
