Haryana Governments Big Decision Senior Citizens Service and Health Portal to be Launched Aarti Singh Rao
Chandigarh, May 25:- Haryana Health, Medical Education, Research and AYUSH Minister Aarti Singh Rao said that two major welfare schemes will be launched soon to provide better and comprehensive health facilities to the citizens, especially senior citizens, in the state. She said that the state government is fully committed to improving the living standards of the senior citizens and providing them with accessible health services.
Special health camps will be organized every Thursday for the senior citizens
Health Minister Aarti Singh Rao said that to ensure better health and better quality of life of the senior citizens, special health camps will be organized every Thursday in all the Ayushman Arogya Mandirs of the state.
A Senior Citizens' Service and Health Portal has been developed for accurate monitoring and management of the data of these health camps and it will be launched soon. He said that the main objective of this portal is to transparently monitor the health facilities being provided to the elderly across the state.
Sanjeevani Yoga Program for OPD and IPD Patients
Aarti Singh Rao said that a special program Sanjeevani Yoga is being started by the Health Department to make health services more robust, preventive and comprehensive. Under this, Ayush doctors and Yoga assistants will provide guidance on yoga sessions, pranayama and healthy lifestyle to the patients and their relatives coming to district hospitals, community health centers and primary health centers in OPD and waiting areas.
The Health Minister said that special yoga therapy and lifestyle counseling will be provided to the patients admitted to IPD wards i.e. hospitals on the advice of the concerned medical officers and doctors of the Health Department.
He said that all the preparations have been completed to launch the above ambitious scheme, soon the Senior Citizens Service and Health Portal and Sanjeevani Yoga Program will be officially launched in a grand manner. The Health Minister reiterated that this unique confluence of Yoga, Pranayama and modern treatment will prove to be a milestone in making Haryana a health and wellness state.
