Amritsar, May 24:- Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami has expressed deep grief over the tragic incident at Gurdwara Shaheed Ganj Baba Deep Singh Ji and expressed sympathy with the families of the two women who lost their lives in this incident. Advocate Dhami reached Sri Guru Ramdas Ji Hospital to inquire about the condition of the injured devotees in this incident and also reached Gurdwara Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Ji and inquired about the incident.
The Shiromani Committee President announced Rs 2 lakh assistance to the families of those who passed away in this unfortunate incident and said that along with this, the injured are being treated free of cost at Sri Guru Ramdas Ji Hospital.
Advocate Dhami said that a large number of devotees visit Gurdwara Shaheed Ganj Sahib every Sunday. In view of the large influx of devotees, services are being conducted at this place with the help of Baba Kashmir Singh Bhuriwale. This incident occurred when a strong gust of wind from the string for the lantern of the building caused some plates to fall on the devotees sitting below.
He prayed to the Almighty for the deceased women and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
The Shiromani Committee President said that Baba Kashmir Singh Bhuriwale has also expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased women. Baba Bhuriwale has announced to give Rs. 2 lakh each to the families of the deceased women as a mark of human sympathy.
Meanwhile, Dean of Sri Guru Ramdas Medical University Dr. A. P. Singh said that the hospital's expert doctors are treating the injured. He said that as per the instructions of SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, no deficiency in treatment will be allowed. On this occasion, SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami along with SGPC Member Bhai Rajinder Singh Mehta, Secretary S. Balwinder Singh Kahlwan, Personal Secretary S. Shahbaz Singh, Deputy Secretary S. Harbhajan Singh Wakta, Manager of Sri Darbar Sahib S. Major Singh, ENT Surgeon Dr. Jaskaran Singh, Ex. S. Sukhjinder Singh, Manager of Gurdwara Shaheedganj Baba Deep Singh Ji S. Jatinderpal Singh were present.
