
Punjabi University organised discussion for anti-drug awareness

On this occasion, Dean Student Welfare Prof. Monica Chawla, while presiding over the function, said that such programmes are organised by the Dean Student Welfare Office with the aim of creating awareness among the students of various hostels. In this series, this programme has been organised for the students of the school.
She gave the message to the children to take special care of their mental health and not to take drugs and said that from the next session, a special form will also be filled by the Dean Student Welfare Office from each student, through which the children will take an oath not to take drugs.
Dr. Aditi Singla, who arrived from Government Rajindra Medical College, Patiala, said that the decline in the mental health of children across the world is a matter of concern. Deputy Medical Commissioner Dr. Jaswinder Singh from the Health Department of the Punjab Government said that we should remove many hesitations and barriers related to mental health and talk openly about it. Program Coordinator Dr. Ruby Gupta, working as a counselor in the Dean Student Welfare Office, said that this program has been created to create awareness about this subject among these students of the university-affiliated school, because at this age children often fall prey to such symptoms. Therefore, it is important for them to know about this subject.
