Una, September 17 - To ensure the active participation of various departments of the district in making the Dussehra festival a success, a meeting was held today (Wednesday) under the chairmanship of Tehsildar Una Vipan Kumar. Kumar informed the meeting that the Dussehra festival will be held on the grounds of the Government Senior Secondary School (Boys), Una.
He instructed police officials to maintain law and order and manage traffic. He directed that vehicles should not be parked on the roadside. He also directed IPH officials to arrange for drinking water and Municipal Council officials to oversee sanitation.
In the meeting, he instructed fire department officials to keep all their equipment in good condition and be prepared to deal with any emergency.
The Tehsildar advised that no shopkeepers should encroach on the road leading to the school grounds to facilitate movement. Along with this, he also instructed the shopkeepers to install dustbins outside their shops in view of cleanliness.
President of Ramlila Committee Una Abhinash Kapila, President of Ramlila Committee Prince Rajput, officers of various departments and members of Ramlila Committee were present in the meeting.
