Aam Aadmi Clinics to soon provide Antenatal care and family planning services

SAS Nagar, 16 June, 2025: The Aam Aadmi Clinics in the district will soon be providing maternal care and family planning services, for which the medical officers deputed at these clinics were imparted special training in the Auditorium at Medical College here.

SAS Nagar, 16 June, 2025: The Aam Aadmi Clinics in the district will soon be providing maternal care and family planning services, for which the medical officers deputed at these clinics were imparted special training in the Auditorium at Medical College here.
     Deputy Commissioner Ms Komal Mittal also graced the occasion and motivated doctors to work patiently towards providing these services to the people. She emphasized the vital role of Aam Aadmi Clinics in providing essential healthcare to the community. She stated that this targeted training would significantly benefit expectant mothers and enhance the overall quality of health services in the region. 
Civil Surgeon Dr Sangeeta Jain said that the primary goal of the training is to empower healthcare providers with the knowledge needed to educate women and couples, enabling them to make informed and healthy family planning decisions. She expressed hope that this training would make the doctors more skilled, informed, and empathetic, ultimately leading to more effective maternal care and family planning services.
During the workshop, the doctors received hands-on guidance on comprehensive antenatal care, including the importance of four essential check-ups during pregnancy — monitoring blood pressure, weight, and identifying high-risk cases. The session also covered key topics such as nutrition, immunization, early detection of danger signs, and postnatal care.
District Immunisation Officer Dr. Girish Dogra, Nodal Officer AAK Dr. Renu Singh, District family welfare officer Dr. Tamanna Singhal, District Mass Media Officer Harcharan Singh and other officials were also present.
