
Firms registered under Punjab Travel Professional Regulation Act 2012 cannot provide employment abroad, work visa, work permit services - District Magistrate.
Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, July 3: District Magistrate Mrs. Komal Mittal has directed the firms registered under Punjab Travel Professional Regulation (PTPR) Act 2012 in the district not to provide employment abroad, work visa, work permit etc services.
Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, July 3: District Magistrate Mrs. Komal Mittal has directed the firms registered under Punjab Travel Professional Regulation (PTPR) Act 2012 in the district not to provide employment abroad, work visa, work permit etc services.
She directed the firms registered under Punjab Travel Professional Regulation Act to refrain from any kind of advertisement or promotion for employment abroad, work visa, work permit services and other job related services for Indians and said that if any violation is found, strict action will be taken against the concerned firm under Immigration Act 1983.
According to the District Magistrate, employment abroad for Indians, work visa, work permit services and other job related services can be provided only by recruitment agents registered under Immigration Act 1983.
He appealed to the people desirous of going abroad for employment to go only through the recruitment agents registered under the Immigration Act 1983 and said that more information in this regard can be obtained by visiting the website emigrate.gov.in. He warned against taking any services related to employment abroad from the firms registered under the Punjab Travel Professional Regulation (PTPR) Act 2012 and said that these firms are not authorized to provide employment services.
He directed the firms registered under the Punjab Travel Professional Regulation (PTPR) Act 2012 to stop any misleading advertisement or promotion in the name of employment services abroad to Indians with immediate effect. He said that if anyone is found violating these orders again, appropriate legal action will be taken against him.
