Garhshankar, September 5:- The State Working Committee of Tarksheel Society Punjab, including the leaders and members of all its zones and units, as well as sympathetic colleagues living in the country and abroad, has strongly appealed to them to come forward to provide financial assistance to the families affected by the flood disaster in Punjab according to their capacity. Along with this, the society has also demanded from the Punjab and Central Government that efforts should be intensified to protect the lives and property of the flood victims and provide them with all kinds of immediate help including food, tarpaulins and fodder for animals.
Informing about the decisions taken in the online meeting of the state working committee in this regard, the state organizational head of the society, Master Rajinder Bhadour, office secretary Hem Raj Stanon, finance head Rajesh Akalia and media head Sumit Amritsar said that the Punjab government's gross negligence and incompetence in the natural disaster of floods and the advance arrangements for their prevention have destroyed the homes, cattle, crops, animal fodder, agricultural implements and lands of lakhs of people in the villages of Punjab and the people of Punjab have suffered a large-scale loss of life and property, for which the Punjab and central governments need to make efforts on a war footing.
He said that the Rational Society is running a public campaign to collect aid money with its own efforts to meet some of the needs of the affected people of Punjab and with this collected aid money, the right needy people of different areas of Punjab will be identified and appropriate assistance will be provided at the right time.
The rational leaders said that as the water recedes in the flood-affected areas, as people realize their losses, they will face many more needs, for which a large-scale financial assistance will be required for a long time.
The rational leaders Joginder Kullewal, provincial leader and zone leader Ma Jagdish Rai Pur Dabba, Sukhwinder Goga, Satpal Saloh, Ma Naresh Bhamian, Baljinder Sehbaz Puri etc. appealed that this assistance can be given through any unit of the rational society.
