Benefits of schemes will reach every section with service and transparency - Cabinet Minister Krishan Bedi.

Chandigarh, September 11 - Haryana's Minister for Social Justice, Empowerment and Scheduled Caste and Backward Class Welfare and Antyodaya Department, Mr. Krishan Kumar Bedi said that the government's promise is that the benefits of schemes should reach the last person of the society and no section should be left behind in the race for development. The government has been working continuously for this.

Chandigarh, September 11 - Haryana's Minister for Social Justice, Empowerment and Scheduled Caste and Backward Class Welfare and Antyodaya Department, Mr. Krishan Kumar Bedi said that the government's promise is that the benefits of schemes should reach the last person of the society and no section should be left behind in the race for development. The government has been working continuously for this.
Mr. Bedi today issued several instructions while holding a meeting of the officers of the Social Justice, Empowerment and Scheduled Caste and Backward Class Welfare and Antyodaya Department. He also reviewed the work of the department regarding service and gave important instructions in this regard.
The Cabinet Minister said that the Haryana Government has always made social justice, transparency and good governance its priority. Empowerment of the poor, needy, Scheduled Caste and Backward Class is the value of our policies. He said that the government has promised that the benefits of the schemes should reach the last person of the society and every section should get equal opportunities.
While discussing with the officials in the meeting, the drug de-addiction center running in the state was also discussed. In which it was told that 93 drug de-addiction centers are operating in Haryana and efforts are being made to give the right direction to the youth who have fallen prey to drugs through these centers. Also, the pension process has been done in a proactive mode so that the common man does not have to face any kind of trouble. A report on the progress of UDID card was also presented in the meeting.
The Cabinet Minister also took details of the Vivah Shagan Yojana. He directed that those cases will be investigated in which benefits have been taken wrongly in the name of inter-state marriage.
In the meeting, Additional Chief Secretary of the department Dr. G. Anupama, Scheduled Caste Finance and Development Corporation Managing Director Geeta Bharti and other officials were also present.

*Preparation for Service Day celebration
Talking to the media after the meeting, he said that the Social Empowerment Department will now celebrate the birth anniversary of a great person as Service Day every year. On this occasion, the employees of the department will also be honored.

*Preparation to bring one-time settlement
Cabinet Minister Shri Krishan Bedi said that earlier a subsidy of up to Rs. 10 thousand was given in the loan scheme of Haryana Scheduled Caste Finance and Development Corporation, which has now been increased to Rs. 50 thousand. He said that from 2013-14 to 2025-26, an amount of up to Rs. 338.65 crore has been distributed to 51,030 beneficiaries. The goal of Antyodaya is to provide loans and other assistance to the needy people of the society and make them employable.

*Reaction on Flood Relief Package
To a question asked regarding the flood relief package given by the Central Government to Punjab being described as inadequate by the Opposition, Cabinet Minister Shri Krishan Kumar Bedi said that the Aam Aadmi Party government of Punjab had earlier said that there was no need for that package but Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave the relief package out of concern for the people. He also mentioned the statements coming from the Punjab officials and the Chief Minister.
