Nawanshahr:- As per the directions received from Punjab State Legal Services Authority SAS Nagar, Honorable District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Mrs. Priya Sood and Civil Judge (Senior Division)/CJM-cum-Secretary District Legal Services Authority, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Dr. Amandeep, under the directions of the Office District Legal Services Authority organized a legal awareness seminar on the occasion of International Democracy Day at Babbar Akali Senior Secondary School Mazari and educated the students about democracy.
On this occasion, the Para Legal Volunteers Team of Office District Legal Services Authority, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Mr. Vijay Rana, Miss Parjit Kaur and Sikha Mehra informed the students about the importance of this day and informed that International Democracy Day is celebrated every year on 15th September all over the world.
It was established through a resolution passed by the United Nations General Assembly, in which governments were encouraged to strengthen and consolidate democracy. Apart from this, the students were made aware about the schemes of NALSA. The entire school staff was present on the occasion.
