61 blood donors donated blood in the blood donation camp organized by senior citizens.

Nawanshahr- The second blood donation camp was organized by the Senior Citizens Association Nawanshahr in collaboration with BDC at the Blood Donors Council, Blood Center Nawanshahr located on Rahon Road. Giving information, the president of the association, Professor SK Bruta, said that the camp was inaugurated by Brij Mohan Singh, a well-known personality of the area, a prominent businessman and the seniormost member of the Senior Citizens Association, as the chief guest by cutting the ribbon.

He said that the camp was attended by Vishal Vij from Student Immigration Nawanshahr, Puneet Prabhakar from Academic AIIMS International Nawanshahr and Harinder Singh from Lotus Overseas as special guests.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest Brij Mohan Singh said that this is a very commendable initiative by the senior citizens and it is a valuable contribution to the society. BDC Dr. Ajay Bagga said that although senior citizens themselves cannot donate blood, they can motivate young boys and girls to donate blood. He said that I have not seen as much enthusiasm and passion for social service as seen in Senior Citizens Association Nawanshahr in any senior citizens association.
Chairman JD Verma said that every member of the association has shown great enthusiasm for organizing this camp. Every member has received full cooperation. President Professor SK Bruta said that blood donation is the greatest gift. By donating blood, we can revive the fading light of a human being's life. General Secretary SK Puri said that according to doctors, due to age, we are not eligible to donate blood, but by motivating young boys and girls, we can make our due contribution to social service.
He said that member Ram Dhan Chaudhary, President Vinod Bhardwaj and Principal Puneet Aneja from RK Arya College, Principal Rajinder Singh Gill from Doaba Arya Senior Secondary School, Praveen Sarin from Cricket Association Nawanshahr, Dr. Vikas Kumar from DAN College for Education Nawanshahr and all the members of the association motivated young boys and girls to donate blood and with the valuable support of Gaurav Murgai from IDFC First Bank, 61 units of blood were collected in the camp. In this camp, 63-year-old Paramjit Singh Panglia, a member of the association, donated blood for the 30th time.
For this work of welfare of humanity and social service, BDC honored the President of the association, Professor SK Baruta, with a shawl and a memento. Chairman Dr. JD Verma, President Professor SK Bruta and General Secretary SK Puri thanked Dr. Ajay Bagga, Dr. Dayal Saroop and all the employees of the Blood Donors Council, all the blood donors and all the members of the association for their immense support. A large number of senior citizens and young blood donors were present on the occasion.
