Hoshiarpur- Hoshiarpur Rehabilitation Center has earned a special place at the state level for its excellent health services and high-level facilities provided for drug de-addiction. At the state-level function of the 79th Independence Day, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann honored Civil Surgeon Dr. Pawan Kumar, Deputy Medical Commissioner and Nodal Officer Drug De-addiction and Rehabilitation Center Dr. Harbans Kaur, Psychologist Dr. Raj Kumar, Medical Officer Dr. Mahima Minhas and Manager Nisha Rani with certificates, medals and shawls.
It is worth mentioning that the Hoshiarpur Rehabilitation Center has made very effective efforts to re-integrate the youth and patients trapped in the swamp of drugs with the mainstream of society through better medical facilities, psychological counseling, inspiration to live a new life and rehabilitation process. Along with treatment, the patients are also provided courses for self-employment and skill development and continuous support is also provided through various programs.
Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain congratulated the entire team that came to meet the Deputy Commissioner today for this achievement. She said that this honor is a matter of pride for the entire district and with this, the identity of Hoshiarpur has been further strengthened in the entire Punjab. This fight against drugs is not only the responsibility of the government, but the joint responsibility of the entire society and the health department, social organizations and the administration are making commendable contributions in this.
