SAS Nagar, August 26 – A tall Eucalyptus tree (which has become crooked and tilted to one side) standing in front of house number 1513 of the local Phase 5 has become a danger to residents. Giving information in this regard, Balbir Singh, General Secretary of the Resident Welfare Society, said that these trees are now old and their height has increased a lot and one of them, the Eucalyptus tree, has tilted dangerously to one side.
He said that this tilted tree can fall at any time, which poses a risk of a major accident. He said that while the safety of local residents (especially children and the elderly) is at risk due to this tree, there is also an equal risk to vehicles and pedestrians passing near it.
He said that the risk of this tree falling has increased even more in the event of heavy rain or strong winds. He has demanded from the local administration that before any major accident happens here, the concerned authorities should take immediate steps to cut or remove this leaning tree.
