Reject Drugs and Love Life: Chaman Singh (Project Director).

Nawanshahr- As per the orders of the Honorable Deputy Commissioner, President District Red Cross Society, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar and District Social Security Officer, a seminar was organized at Government Senior Secondary School (Girls), Chak Bilga dedicated to the fifth anniversary of “Drug-Free India Campaign”. This seminar was presided over by Mrs. Rani (Principal).

This seminar was presided over by Mrs. Rani (Principal).
On this occasion, Chaman Singh (Project Director) specially appealed to the students of the school that if we want to make our future better, then we have to stay away from bad habits like drugs. He told the students that sometimes children knowingly or unknowingly start consuming wrong things, which can also lead them into the swamp of drugs.
He appealed to the students not to get influenced by any person and consume any drug. Since children are not aware of these substances, he also explained in detail about the diseases caused by drug use.
He said that to eliminate drug abuse, we have to start from our own homes, because only if we make ourselves and our homes drug-free, then only we can make our Punjab and country drug-free. He also appealed to the teachers to continue to make the students aware of drug abuse along with school education.
On this occasion, he shared information about this campaign on the fifth anniversary of the Drug-Free India Campaign. He said that the main objective of this campaign is to reach out to people affected by drug abuse. The students studying in schools and colleges are to be informed about the ill effects of drugs, which can keep the youth away from drugs.
On this occasion, the students and the staff members present took a pledge under this campaign that we will all come together to make our family and friends drug free as well as ourselves drug free because the change should start from ourselves and we will make our state drug free. On this occasion, chart making competitions were organized against drugs. Out of which the first three winning students Khushi, Jasmine, Martha were honored.
On this occasion, Mrs. Kamaljit Kaur, Counselor shared information about the activities of the center that a drug addict can get treatment by getting admitted for a month as per his wish. Because to get treatment for drug addiction, one has to reach the drug de-addiction centers.
Finally, Mrs. Rani (Principal) shared information about drugs and thanked the team that had come and told the students that the suggestions given by the team should be adopted in their lives.
On this occasion, the school teachers Vijay Singh, Rakesh Gangar, Kewal Singh, Kulwinder Singh, Rakesh Singh, Anita Bharti, Manisha Bharti, Baljinder, Parminder Singh, Rakesh Kumari, Dalvinder Singh, Paramjit Kaur, Renu Sharma, Dalveer Kumari and the students of the school were present.
