Nawanshahr- A felicitation ceremony was organized at Jain local Nawanshahr in the presence of Mahasadhavi Shri Priyadarshana Maharaj, Shri Kiran Prabha, Shri Ratan Jyoti, Shri Vichakshan, Shri Arpita, Shri Vandita Ji and Shri Mokshada Ji Maharaj and under the leadership of President Surendra Jain.
Making this Chaturmas of Nawanshahr historic, social worker Padma Jain ji performed penance for 31 consecutive days by eating only once a day! On this occasion, his felicitation ceremony was organized today in Jain local! In which SS Jain Sabha President Surendra Jain, Vice President Rajneesh Jain Guggu, General Secretary Ratan Kumar Jain, Treasurer Rakesh Jain Babbi, Advisor Achal Jain, Darshan Jain, Anil Jain Bholu and other members honored Padma Jain with a necklace, patka and a memento!
Guru devotees from Gujarat and Maharashtra also honored Padam Jain Ji by garlanding him and asked about his recovery! On this occasion, social worker Padam Jain's wife Bina Jain and son Ajit Jain were also honored! On this occasion, Mahasadhavi Shri Priyadarshanji Maharaj recited Mangal Paath and blessed everyone!
On this occasion, Mahasadhavi Shri Ratan Jyoti Ji Maharaj and Mahasadhavi Shri Vikhakshan Shri Maharaj said that Padam Jain has increased the respect of the entire Jain community as well as his family by eating only once a day and performing penance for 31 days! They said that by performing penance, deeds are purified and the soul gets strength! Mahasadhavi Shri Mokshada Ji gave her best wishes through bhajans!

Jain Sabha General Secretary Ratan Kumar Jain said that social worker Padma Jain is a retired manager from Cooperative Bank. He serves hundreds of birds by feeding them grains and bhujiyas every day and serves them wholeheartedly in eye camps etc.
