Dean Academic Affairs Prof. Narinder Kaur Multani presided over the inaugural session and spoke about the importance of youth fairs. He said that these fairs contribute a lot in improving the personality of the students. Punjabi University is proud of the fact that it has produced many famous personalities in the field of art through the successful organization of these fairs. He said that it is due to these fairs that most of the famous personalities of Punjab's music and film industry are associated with Punjabi University.
Popular folk singer Paramjit Sidhu (Pammi Bai), who was present as the chief guest, said during his address that Punjabi University has played an important role in his career development. He encouraged the young students to actively participate in such activities. He said that the university is like his family. They always come here like a family member and are always proud of the university.
Famous actor Hobby Dhaliwal, as a special guest, in his speech mentioned the special atmosphere of Punjabi University and the environment that fosters art and thanked the university. Which contributed significantly in improving his art. On this occasion, on the first day of the youth fair, he referred to the vulture and said that this day is the day of daughters. He said that we should keep making efforts to give birth to daughters on earth and live with dignity.
Popular singer Jasbir Jassi joined as a special guest where he performed his famous songs on the stage At the same time, he also invited the present youth to preserve the heritage of Punjab. With reference to the language of the vulture, he said that we have more diverse colors than perhaps any other language in the world. Director of Youth Welfare Department Prof. Varinder Kaushik said that no scope will be left in the successful organization of the fair.
