
Haryana gets a gift of projects worth Rs 2000 crores - PM Narendra Modi inaugurated them
Chandigarh, August 17 - Haryana Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today inaugurated two important development projects worth Rs 2000 crores that will directly benefit Haryana and dedicated them to the public. These projects include the construction of two new 4-lane link roads for Sonipat and Bahadurgarh under the Urban Extension Road-2 project.
Chandigarh, August 17 - Haryana Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today inaugurated two important development projects worth Rs 2000 crores that will directly benefit Haryana and dedicated them to the public. These projects include the construction of two new 4-lane link roads for Sonipat and Bahadurgarh under the Urban Extension Road-2 project.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini expressed gratitude for the contribution being made by the Central Government to Haryana and said that today's day will be recorded as a golden chapter in the development saga of Haryana and especially NCR.
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today inaugurated the Dwarka Expressway and UER-2 National Highway projects connecting Delhi and Haryana at a cost of about Rs 11,000 crore in New Delhi, out of which two projects worth Rs 2,000 crore will directly benefit Haryana.
The Chief Minister said that Haryana, which is the industrial and agricultural hub of North India, will be the biggest beneficiary of these projects. He said that these important projects will not only give a new impetus to exports, imports and investments due to direct connectivity of Kundli, Sonipat, Bahadurgarh, Gurugram and Manesar to Delhi Airport but will also provide relief to the region from the long-standing problem of traffic jams.
Shri Naib Singh Saini termed it as another milestone towards the goal of Developed India-Developed Haryana and said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's visionary thinking, decisive leadership and unwavering commitment towards development have taken the construction of infrastructure in the country to new heights.
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India has become the fourth largest economy in the world and is now rapidly moving towards becoming the third largest economy. Be it metro projects, freight corridors, expressways, major bridges or development of ports, excellent work is being done in every field. Apart from this, through PM Gati Shakti Yojana, the country's infrastructure projects are being made more organized, modern and effective.
Thanking the Prime Minister for gifting Haryana with big development projects, Shri Naib Singh Saini said that Shri Narendra Modi has blessed the state of Haryana with many important and far-reaching projects.
These include projects like Western Dedicated Freight Corridor, Rail Coach Repair Factory, Kundli-Manesar-Palwal and Kundli-Ghaziabad-Palwal Expressways, Gurugram-Sikanderpur and Faridabad-Ballabhgarh Metro Link, the country's first elevated railway track in Rohtak, Rohtak-Mahim-Hansi Railway Line, AIIMS Jhajjar, National Cancer Institute and AIIMS Rewari.
He said that recently Haryana has also received the gift of Metro Corridor from Rithala to Kundli. The Chief Minister said that these initiatives of the Prime Minister will give a new direction to investment, employment and industrial development in the state and Haryana's contribution to the national economy will be further strengthened.
Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari, Chief Minister of Delhi Smt. Rekha Gupta and other dignitaries were also present on this occasion.
