Sensex falls 849 points, Nifty also slips to close at 24,712.

Mumbai- Domestic markets Sensex and Nifty were seen trading lower on Tuesday. The markets have fallen after the US issued a draft notice to impose an additional 25 percent duty on Indian imports.

Apart from this, the continuous withdrawal of foreign capital and the weak trend in Asian markets have also weakened the sentiment. BSE Sensex closed down 849.37 points or 1.04% at 80,786.54 points. Only 5 stocks of Sensex were seen trading higher today.
On the other hand, NSE Nifty closed down 255.70 points or 1.02% at 24,712.05 points. Bank Nifty fell 688 points to close at 54,450. Rupee weakens to close at 87.75 per dollar. Fears of Trump tariffs dominated the market and all sectors turned red.
Light buying is being seen only in the FMCG sector today. Along with this, it is also being seen in the pharma, IT and realty sectors.
