Patiala, October 23 - A meeting of the Governing Body of Gurmati College Patiala was held, which was presided over by Pratap Singh Director Guru Nanak Foundation New Delhi. In this meeting Professor Balkar Singh, Former Director World Punjabi Center, Professor Paramveer Singh, Chief Editor, Sikh World Encyclopedia Department Punjabi University Patiala, Professor Gurmeet Singh Sidhu, Professor In-charge, Guru Gobind Singh Chair Punjabi University Patiala, Harpreet Singh, Senior Vice President Dera Baba Jassa Singh joined. 
In the meeting, the members of the governing body appreciated the working of the college. Professor Balkar Singh said that the college is currently playing its due academic role very well. Professor Gurmeet Singh Sidhu gave very valuable suggestions to the college to implement the new education policy. Professor Paramveer Singh said that the rich library of the college should be available to the researchers working in the field of Sikh research, regarding which the college is already digitizing the library for this purpose. The members appreciated this work of the college.
 He congratulated the college for the Gurmati education camps organized by the college and the national, international seminars and Gurmati events organized in the field of Sikhism in the field of academia. Pratap Singh Director Guru Nanak Foundation said that the college is committed to its academic and religious duty, it will never deviate from its goal. Harpreet Singh praised the academic and panthic activities of the college and said that the Dera Baba Jassa Singh Management Committee is standing with the Guru Nanak Foundation at every step for the advancement of the Gurmati College and will always have full cooperation. 
Dr. Jasbir Kaur Principal Gurmati College said in the meeting that as much as we do for conducting seminars and lectures, we also do for the education of the students due to which the students come in the merit list of the university.
