Mohali August 20, 2025- National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Central Animal Facility at SAS Nagar (Mohali) is hosting a National Workshop titled “Laboratory Animals in Pharmaceutical Research: Ethics, Techniques and Regulations” from August 21 to 23, 2025.
The workshop is sponsored by the National Research Foundation (ANRF) and the Committee for Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals (CCSEA). The three-day workshop will bring together participants from across India, including researchers, academics, industry professionals and students in pharmaceutical and biomedical research. Renowned speakers from academia, regulatory bodies and industry will share expertise on ethical practices, technical procedures and regulatory requirements in laboratory animal research. Highlights include sessions on animal welfare, research ethics, legislative guidelines, and practical demonstrations in animal care and health monitoring. The workshop aims to promote responsible research and foster collaboration between academia, industry and regulatory bodies.
