Residents of Phase 11 and nearby villages demand opening of Ayurvedic dispensary in Phase 11

SAS Nagar, May 13 – Residents of Phase 11 of Mohali and the adjoining villages of the area have demanded the Punjab government to open an Ayurvedic dispensary in Phase 11.

SAS Nagar, May 13 – Residents of Phase 11 of Mohali and the adjoining villages of the area have demanded the Punjab government to open an Ayurvedic dispensary in Phase 11.

Talking to reporters here, residents said that there are about half a dozen villages along Phase 11 who visit the Phase 11 dispensary for medicines and other treatments. Residents said that the health department's dispensary in Phase 11 offers allopathic and homeopathic treatment but not Ayurvedic system (the country's own ancient system of medicine).

Residents said that even an Ayurvedic dispensary does not require much space and one room is plenty for it. He said that the dispensary which is running in Phase 11. There is a large room in front of the gate in its enclosure, in which the service center was also opened earlier and now the allopathic dispensaries have made a medicine store in that room.

He said that old and mature elders trust the Ayurvedic system and prefer to take Ayurvedic medicine more. He said that earlier there was a government Ayurvedic dispensary in Phase 3B2 but that too was shifted to Sector 39 of Chandigarh and to meet the needs of Mohali residents, an Ayurvedic dispensary should be opened in Phase 11.
