Chandigarh- There is no chance of relief from the rains that have been falling for the past few days. According to the Meteorological Department, rainy weather will continue in various parts of the country till September 13.

The India Meteorological Department has issued a warning for today, in which it has predicted heavy rain, thundershowers, lightning and strong winds in many areas.
Due to the effect of pressure on North Gujarat and adjoining South-West Rajasthan, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Rajasthan and Gujarat state till September 8. Similarly, moderate to heavy rain is likely at various places in Rajasthan and South Gujarat. According to the department, the low pressure area formed over Central Rajasthan has moved almost towards the west, which further moved towards the southwest and at 8.30 am today, Indian time, it has become centered over North Gujarat and adjoining South-West Rajasthan. It is likely to move towards the west-south-west during the next two days.
Today, heavy rains occurred at some places in South Gujarat region and similarly, heavy rains are predicted in the state on 8th September as well. Light to heavy rains are likely in Jammu division, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Madhya Maharashtra. Apart from this, heavy rains are likely to occur at various places in Uttarakhand on 7th, 8th, 12th and 13th September, West Uttar Pradesh on 12th and 13th September, East Uttar Pradesh from 11th to 13th.
Heavy rains are likely in some parts of Odisha on 8th, 10th and 14th September and very heavy rains on 11th and 12th September. East Madhya Pradesh on 8th and 13th, Chhattisgarh from 10th to 13th, North Himalayas and West Bengal from 7th to 13th, Bihar between 9th and 11th September with light to moderate rains.
Rain is likely at isolated places over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on September 10 and 11, over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya on September 10. Heavy to very heavy rain is likely over Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh on September 11 and 13 and over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on September 12 and 13.
