Una, March 10:- Under the leadership of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, significant initiatives are being taken to integrate the agricultural sector with modern technology and ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach farmers in a transparent and simple manner. In this regard, the work of creating a digital farmer registry through the Agristack portal is progressing rapidly in Una district. Under this initiative, an integrated digital database of farmers is being created, ensuring that information related to their land, crops, and government schemes is available on a single digital platform, ensuring that the benefits of the schemes reach eligible farmers in a transparent manner.
**Registrations are rapidly increasing in the district**
Prem Singh Thakur, Deputy Director of the Agriculture Department of Una district, stated that 39,373 farmers have been added to the farmer registry through the Agristack portal. He added that online farmer registration has been made mandatory for farmers. Under this process, each farmer will be provided with a unique identification number (Unique Farmer ID), which will digitally preserve their entire record and make it easier to access benefits from government schemes in the future.
He stated that the creation of a digital farmer registry will ensure systematic access to information related to farmers and make the process of distributing benefits under various schemes more effective.
**Greater transparency in scheme benefits**
Prem Singh Thakur stated that this registration is also important for beneficiaries of other agricultural schemes, including the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi. Through the AgriStack portal, all necessary information related to farmers will be available on a single platform, making the process of providing benefits more transparent and smooth.
He explained that this will also eliminate the need for farmers to repeatedly submit documents for different schemes, as their entire details will be digitally preserved.
**Accurate information obtained through digital crop survey**
He informed that the digital crop survey process is also underway in the district. Under this initiative, 71,444 surveys have been conducted so far, of which 27,498 have been approved. Crop mapping is being done through mobile apps and GPS technology to link farmers' land records with crop-related information.
This process will ensure that the benefits of agricultural schemes reach eligible farmers in a transparent manner.
**Registration can also be done through Lok Mitra Kendras**
The Deputy Director advised that farmers who have not yet registered on this portal should complete their online farmer registration as soon as possible. Farmers can complete this process free of charge through their nearest Lok Mitra Kendra or the relevant portal https://hpfr.agristack.gov.in/farmer-registry-hp/#. Registration requires an Aadhaar card, any land plot number, and a mobile number linked to Aadhaar.
**Ongoing Campaign to Create Awareness among Farmers**
The Agriculture Department is conducting campaigns at various levels to educate farmers about this initiative, so that more farmers can join the Agristack portal and easily access the benefits of government schemes.

Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal has appealed to all farmers in the district to register themselves on the Agristack portal. He stated that the creation of a digital farmer registry will enable farmers to access the benefits of government schemes in a more transparent and simple manner. He has directed the concerned departments to widely raise awareness among farmers about this initiative so that no eligible farmer is deprived of this facility.
