Patiala:- Religious and social service events were organized on the occasion of Vat Purnima, Jeth Purnima and Sant Kabir Das Ji's Jayanti with the support of Sudhar Sabha Sri Kedar Nath Ji (Regd.) and Sangat. On this occasion, the message of service and environmental conservation was given through the campaign of milk Chhabeel, Atutt Langar and tree planting.
At 11 am, after offering prayers at the idol of Vishal Shiv Ji, milk Chhabeel and dal-makhni-rice Langar were served. Along with this, the Langar was also sent to Rajindra Hospital, Patiala. At 5.30 pm, Kheer Langar was also served as Prasad to the Sangat and its service was also taken to Rajindra Hospital.
The Chhabeel service was performed by Sukhwinder Singh (Sabzi Wale Chowk), while the Kheer Langar service was performed by Sheesh Pal Mittal (SST Nagar).
On this occasion, it was informed that on the day of Purnima, Lord Vishnu and Mata Lakshmi are specially worshipped. This year, for the first time, an idol of Lord Vishnu-Lakshmi Ji has been installed in the ancient Sri Kedar Nath Temple with the support of the Sangat, due to which a large number of devotees are reaching to pay obeisance.
At 5 pm, the members of the Sudhar Sabha planted 21 shade and flowering plants outside the idol of Shiva Ji located near the banks of Bir Ji. Tree guards were also installed to protect the plants. The founder of the Sudhar Sabha, Satnam Hasija, took the responsibility of taking care of these plants.
Retired Pandit Ashwani Ji said that due to regular langar, chabeel, kirtan and other religious activities in the temple, there has been a significant increase in the number of devotees. He said that earlier also people had deep faith in this ancient temple, but now due to the religious activities and beautiful decorations of the temple, a large number of devotees are coming from other areas for darshan.
