Dhuri, October 5:- A free eye check-up camp was organised at Bhullarheri village with the objective of providing accessible healthcare services to people closer to their homes. The camp was inaugurated by Sukhveer Singh, OSD to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.
Addressing the gathering, OSD Sukhveer Singh said that the Punjab Government is taking several initiatives to strengthen healthcare services across the state and ensure their accessibility at the grassroots level. He said that through Aam Aadmi Clinics, people are being provided primary healthcare services, diagnostic facilities and free medicines closer to their homes.
He said that alongside improving healthcare infrastructure and services, the government is also focusing on health awareness, preventive care and timely medical examinations. He added that regular eye examinations are particularly important for early identification of vision-related problems and timely treatment.
The OSD said that such medical camps provide an important platform for bringing specialised healthcare services closer to rural communities. He appreciated the initiative and said that continued efforts in this direction can help people access healthcare services without having to travel long distances.
During the camp, residents underwent free eye examinations and were provided medical advice as per their requirements.
Rajwant Singh Ghulli, Chairman, Market Committee Dhuri; Rachhpal Singh Bhullar, Chairman, Zila Parishad; Ranjodh Singh, Chairman, Block Samiti Dhuri, along with a large number of villagers, were present on the occasion.
