Lehragaga, October 4:- Punjab Cabinet Minister Shri Barinder Kumar Goyal today inaugurated Sri Guru Ravidas Dharamshala at village Kalia in the Lehra Assembly constituency and dedicated the facility to the villagers. On the occasion, the bhog ceremony of Sri Sukhmani Sahib was held, and the Cabinet Minister participated in the religious programme along with the congregation.
Addressing the villagers, Shri Goyal said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government is continuously making efforts for the all-round development of villages and providing better basic facilities to the people. He said that carrying out development works according to people's needs and ensuring that their benefits reach every section of society is his top priority.
The Cabinet Minister said that dharamshalas are an important part of the social and community life of villages. The Sri Guru Ravidas Dharamshala will provide villagers with a suitable place to organise social and religious functions. He appealed to the villagers to work together for the proper use and maintenance of the community building.
Referring to the teachings of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji, Shri Goyal said that his message of equality, human dignity and brotherhood shows the way towards bringing society together. He said that by adopting these teachings in their lives, mutual love and harmony can be further strengthened.
On the occasion, Block Samiti member Ajit Singh and other villagers thanked the Cabinet Minister for the development works being carried out in the village. They said that due to the efforts of Shri Barinder Kumar Goyal, village Kalia has attained a leading position in terms of development. They said that previous leaders did not pay adequate attention to the needs of the village, whereas the development works now being carried out are providing better facilities to the villagers.
Thanking the villagers for the trust they had expressed, Shri Goyal said that the support of the people inspires him to work with greater dedication. He assured that efforts would continue to fulfil the development needs of village Kalia as well as all villages in the constituency on a priority basis.
Aam Aadmi Party leader Sanmik Singh Henry, Block Samiti member Ajit Singh, Makhan Singh, Gulzar Singh, Mandeep Singh and other Aam Aadmi Party leaders and workers were present on the occasion.
