Sangrur, 9 October:- The quarterly meeting of the District Sainik Board, Sangrur, was held in the meeting hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Sangrur. Members of the District Sainik Board and heads of various departments attended the meeting.
The meeting began with Commander Dilpreet Singh Kang (Retd.), Secretary, District Sainik Board-cum-District Defence Services Welfare Officer, Sangrur, paying tribute to all martyrs. This was followed by the presentation of the performance report of the District Defence Services Welfare Office, Sangrur.
The meeting was chaired by Shri Rajbir Singh Bhangu (PCS), Assistant Commissioner (General), who represented the President of the District Sainik Board-cum-Deputy Commissioner.
After listening to the problems faced by the families of martyrs, ex-servicemen, widows and their dependants in the district, he assured them that their legitimate demands would be addressed on a priority basis.
The Assistant Commissioner (General), Sangrur, also appealed to the public to donate generously for martyrs and their widows. Commander Dilpreet Singh Kang (Retd.) and the entire staff of the District Defence Services Welfare Office, Sangrur, were present on the occasion.
