Fatehabad, December 7: A special program was organized at the Government Senior Secondary School, Bangaon, on the importance and awareness of the Legal Literacy Campaign. The program was held in the august presence of the training judges—Ms. Jasmine Bawa (Judicial Officer Trainee) and Ms. Tanvi Garg (Judicial Officer Trainee). The program was presided over by the school's Principal, Mange Ram Saharan. Panel Advocate Kamlesh Vashisht (Legal Literacy Services, Fatehabad) attended as a special guest.
The program began with a warm welcome by Senior Professor Dr. Surendra Kumar Garg. He stated that legal literacy is a crucial foundation in students' lives, providing them with the ability to understand the system.
The school's Legal Literacy Incharge and Political Science Professor, Vijay Kumari, effectively coordinated the entire program. They play a crucial role in organizing all legal literacy activities within the school, including Legal Literacy Services, and informing students about various laws.
On this occasion, the school's English Lecturer and Secretary, Vineet Kumar, conducted a well-organized, engaging, and effective program, making the program disciplined, engaging, and informative. The keynote speakers, a judge and an advocate, addressed the students, emphasizing that justice is available to everyone, regardless of their economic background.
They provided detailed information about the schemes and provisions related to free legal aid in simple and clear language. Students were provided with essential information regarding the POCSO Act, enabling them to better understand their rights, safeguards, and the importance of awareness. Furthermore, a detailed discussion was held on the rise in cybercrimes, their types, and effective measures to prevent them.
The most inspiring part was the students' enthusiastic question-answer session, which the judge posed to the judge about the importance of legal studies and hard work. The students responded with patience, experience, and inspiring examples. At the end of the program, the students resolved to apply their learning and meet challenges head-on.
The keynote speaker urged them to share their legal knowledge with their family, community, and friends, so that the message of legal awareness reaches as many people as possible. Following this, the school's Principal, Mange Ram Saharan, presented mementos to the honored guests, thanked them for their time, inspiring guidance, and valuable time. He pledged to organize similar educational and motivational programs in the future.
