Gharaunda/Karnal: Friday was a day brimming with spiritual and political significance at the grand Shiv Mahapuran Katha currently underway in Gharaunda. On this special occasion, Haryana Assembly Speaker Harvinder Kalyan arrived as the Chief Guest. He was accompanied by Nilokheri MLA Bhagwan Das Kabirpanthi, BJP District President Praveen Lather, senior leader Kavinder Rana, and Chairperson Nirmala Bairagi.
On this occasion, all the guests paid their respects to Lord Shiva; having received His blessings, they offered prayers for the peace and prosperity of the region. During the event, the Assembly Speaker and other dignitaries listened to the discourse with deep devotion and enjoyed the devotional hymns (bhajans).
Speaking on the occasion, Assembly Speaker Harvinder Kalyan stated that religious events such as the Shiv Mahapuran infuse society with positive energy and a spirit of brotherhood. He added that such rituals serve to keep us connected to our culture and our roots.
Local councilors, social activists, and a large number of devotees were present at the program. The venue of the discourse resonated with loud chants of "Har Har Mahadev."
