Major Police Crackdown on Illegal Mining 17 Vehicles Fined 760 Lakh Collected in Penalties

Santoshgarh/Una, May 24 (Rajveer Chopra):— The Santoshgarh Police Post is consistently taking strict action against illegal mining. Acting under the directives of the Superintendent of Police, the team from the Santoshgarh Police Post has issued a total of 17 challans (violation notices) under the Mining Act between April of this year and the present date.
According to reports, these include 13 challans issued against tippers and 4 against tractors. As a result of the police action, fines totaling ?7,60,000 were imposed for 16 of these violations, and this entire amount has been deposited into the government treasury.
Meanwhile, the challan issued against one tipper has been submitted to the Honorable Court and is currently pending adjudication.
The Santoshgarh Police Post has categorically stated that illegal mining activities in the region will not be tolerated under any circumstances, and such enforcement drives will continue unabated in the future.
