List of Sensitive Booths and Counting Centers Released for Peaceful Conduct of Panchayati Raj Elections in Una District Special Security Arrangements to be in Place

Una, May 25: Under the General Elections-2026 for Panchayati Raj Institutions, the voting process in Una district will be conducted in three phases for 244 out of 249 Gram Panchayats, 107 out of 109 wards across 5 Panchayat Samitis, and 17 District Council wards. This information was provided by Shravan Kumar, Assistant District Election Officer (Panchayat) and District Panchayat Officer, Una.
He stated that, with the objective of conducting the election process in a peaceful, fair, and orderly manner, a total of 669 polling booths in the district have been identified and categorized as 'sensitive' or 'highly sensitive.' Of these, 391 polling booths have been declared sensitive, while 278 have been declared highly sensitive.
Providing further details, he informed that in the Amb Development Block, out of a total of 151 polling booths, 93 are sensitive and 58 are highly sensitive. In the Bangana Development Block, 46 out of 53 polling booths have been declared sensitive and 7 highly sensitive; similarly, in Gagret, 114 out of 181 polling booths have been declared sensitive and 67 highly sensitive. Likewise, in the Haroli Development Block, 56 out of 118 polling booths have been identified as sensitive and 62 as highly sensitive; and in the Una Development Block, 82 out of 166 polling booths have been identified as sensitive and 84 as highly sensitive.
He further noted that in the first phase of the elections, 138 polling booths will be sensitive and 89 highly sensitive. In the second phase, 146 polling booths have been declared sensitive and 101 highly sensitive; and in the third and final phase, 107 polling booths have been declared sensitive and 88 highly sensitive.

**List of Sensitive and Highly Sensitive Polling Centers**
The Assistant District Election Officer stated that, under the Amb Development Block, 22 out of 30 polling centers have been declared sensitive, while 8 have been declared highly sensitive. In Bangana, out of 13 polling stations, 12 have been identified as sensitive and 1 as highly sensitive; similarly, in Gagret, out of 22 polling stations, 13 have been marked as sensitive and 9 as highly sensitive. Likewise, in Haroli, 28 out of 46 polling stations have been declared sensitive and 18 as highly sensitive, while in Una, 18 out of 38 polling stations have been designated as sensitive and 20 as highly sensitive.
He stated that in the first phase, 29 polling stations will remain sensitive and 21 highly sensitive. In the second phase, 34 polling stations have been designated as sensitive and 20 as highly sensitive, and in the third phase, 30 polling stations have been determined to be sensitive and 15 as highly sensitive.

**List of Counting Centers**
Shravan Kumar informed that, within the district, a total of 101 counting centers have been categorized as sensitive or highly sensitive. This includes 64 sensitive counting centers and 37 highly sensitive ones. Additionally, 5 counting centers pertaining to the Zila Parishad and Panchayat Samitis have also been identified within the sensitive and highly sensitive categories.
He noted that in the first phase, 22 counting centers will remain sensitive and 11 highly sensitive. Similarly, in the second phase, 23 sensitive and 14 highly sensitive counting centers have been designated, and in the third phase, 19 sensitive and 12 highly sensitive counting centers have been determined.
He further stated that, in accordance with the guidelines of the Election Commission, comprehensive arrangements for security and surveillance have been ensured at all sensitive and highly sensitive polling and counting centers, so that the electoral process may be conducted with complete transparency, fairness, and in a peaceful environment.
