Karnal, September 17:- Plot holders in the Pingli Dairy Complex who fail to start dairy construction within 15 days will have their allotments canceled. Municipal Corporation Commissioner Dr. Vaishali Sharma stated that there are 82 plot holders who have neither undertaken construction work in the dairy complex for several years nor completed partial construction, and they have also not paid the full installments for their plots.
The Commissioner said that these dairy plot holders have been given ample time for construction, but no work has started yet. Of these, 30 plots have only reached the DPC (Damp Proof Course) stage. She clarified that this is the final opportunity, after which action will be taken as per the rules. This action will include forfeiture of the plot along with the security deposit, sealing of dairies operated in the city, and the Municipal Corporation taking custody of the animals.
She further informed that the Municipal Corporation is preparing to hold the fourth draw for the allotment of vacant plots in the dairy complex. If the aforementioned plot holders fail to start construction on time, their plots will be taken over by the corporation and allotted to other dairy operators through the draw, for which they themselves will be responsible.
Applications for the Draw: Currently, there are 94 vacant plots in the Pingli Dairy Complex. Approximately 70 applications have been received at the Municipal Corporation office for participation in the draw. The date for the draw will be finalized soon, and further action will be taken.
Verification of Dairies: The dairies of applicants participating in the draw are being verified on-site. The number of animals in the dairies is also being checked to allot plots according to their requirements. As per the standards, a 250-square-yard plot will be allotted for 5–15 animals, a 355-square-yard plot for 16–26 animals, and a 500-square-yard plot for 27–50 animals.
Instructions to Corporation Engineers: The Commissioner stated that instructions have been given to the concerned engineers for the construction of boundary walls, repair of lanes, and streetlights in the dairy complex. She assured that dairy operators will not face any inconvenience in the complex.
Status of Dairy Complex: The complex has a total of 231 plots, of which 144 have been allotted. Out of these, 50 dairies have been relocated from the city to the Pingli complex, while 5 dairies have completed construction and will soon be relocated.
Additionally, DPC has been laid for 30 plots. The Commissioner urged dairy operators who have reached the DPC stage to apply at the Municipal Corporation office for soil filling up to three feet and start construction promptly.
