Una, December 12 - A meeting of the Family Planning Compensation Committee was held under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner Mahindra Pal Gurjar. Chief Medical Officer Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Verma, District Health Officer Dr. Sukhdeep Singh Sidhu, District Program Officer Dr. Ramandeep, Dr. Rahul (General Surgeon) and Dr. Arundhati (Gynecologist) participated in the meeting.
The failures occurring after family planning operations were discussed in detail in the meeting. The CMO said that in cases of failed operations, family planning compensation is given to the affected people. He said that the District Family Planning Compensation Committee sends the failed operation cases to the State Family Planning Compensation Committee for further permission so that after getting permission from the State Family Planning Compensation Committee, compensation can be given to the affected people.
