
Sector-67 is facing chaos as power crisis deepens amid scorching heat.
SAS Nagar, May 27- Power cuts have become a big problem for residents in the scorching heat. As the temperature is rising, the power problem is also increasing continuously. Although power supply is fine in some areas, but where the supply is disrupted, electricity is not available for 12 to 15 hours.

Residents Welfare Association, Sector-67 President N.S. Kalsi and General Secretary Chatis Kumar Bagga said that problems like frequent transformer failure, cable fault, and overloaded feeder have become common. He said that in this regard, the residents of Sector-67 protested and raised slogans in front of the office of the Senior Executive Engineer. The association also submitted a demand letter to the Executive Engineer of PSPCL, demanding immediate solution to this problem.
He said that the senior executive engineer had assured that the problems faced by the residents of Sector-67 due to technical fault will be solved soon, and a new grid will be installed in Sector-67 soon. He also said that a separate line will be provided from CP 67, but the problem has not been solved yet.
He said that due to the strike of the contract workers of the electricity department, the workers are not available to fix any fault, due to which the residents are facing a lot of trouble in the heat. He demanded that immediate steps should be taken to solve this problem.
