
Principal Harbhajan Club Mahilpur increased the prize money drastically
Mahilpur- A meeting of Principal Harbhajan Singh Sporting Club Mahilpur was held under the chairmanship of Sardar Kulwant Singh Sangha in which the proposals to increase the dates and prize money of the 2026 tournament were unanimously approved. The winner of the club category of the 63rd All India Principal Harbhajan Singh Memorial Football Tournament will be given a trophy along with a cash prize of Rs 3 lakh and the runner-up Rs 2 lakh, 1.25 lakh and 1 lakh in the college category and 75 and 50 thousand in the academy category.

In 2026, this tournament will be held from 13 to 20 February 2026 at the Principal Harbhajan Singh Memorial Stadium of Khalsa College Mahilpur. On this occasion, the details of the budget of the 62nd tournament held in February 2025 were also presented. The club president specially thanked the players, donors, supporters and administrators of the previous tournament.
He felt proud of the cooperation of the Sikh Educational Council as well as the college staff and principal. The club executive also approved the increase in DA, TA given to the teams. From next year, teams coming from outside Punjab will be given Rs 15,000 per day, teams from Punjab will be given Rs 12,000 and academies will be given Rs 10,000. Tara Singh Bains of Mahmadwal also proposed to open a trust in the name of Principal Sahib in New Zealand and Haveli resident Chandra Shekhar Menon in Germany.
He specially thanked the Punjabis living abroad who give their valuable contribution in this tournament. Apart from club president Kulwant Singh Sangha, SP Shivinderjit Singh Bains, Daljit Singh Bains Canada, Achhar Kumar Joshi, Dr. Parampreet Kandowal, Principal Parwinder Singh, Baljinder Mann, Tarlochan Singh Sandhu, Master Baninder Singh, Jamsher Singh Tambar, Rupinder Jot Singh, Arvinder Singh Haveli, Sewak Singh Bains, Daljit Singh UK, Hardev Singh etc. participated in this meeting and presented their creative ideas.
