20 February Hoshiarpur- Municipal Corporation Commissioner Dr. Amandeep Kaur said that it has been observed under the Municipal Corporation limits that there are many vacant plots in most areas of the city, in which garbage is thrown by the people living nearby or by unknown persons or it is seen that sometimes water remains stagnant in these plots for a long time.
In this regard, the Municipal Corporation receives complaints daily from the residents and there is always a danger of deadly diseases spreading in these areas, which spoils the image of the city and also creates hindrance in the cleaning work.
Therefore, taking strict action, instructions are issued to the owners of all the vacant plots in the city that they should either make a boundary of their vacant plots within 7 days or get these plots fenced, so that no one throws garbage in these plots.
He said that after 7 days, if the Municipal Corporation team finds any open plot during checking, then the team will take action on the spot and the cleaning charges will be recovered from the plot owner and the fine imposed on it will be deposited in the property tax.
Apart from this, the NOC issued for the plot will also be stopped. Along with this, he asked all the city residents to contribute their best in making their city Hoshiarpur clean and beautiful.
