Nawanshahr- As per the notification issued by the Punjab Government for the all-round development of children, private play way schools running in the district under the 'Early Childhood Care and Education Scheme' are to be registered by the Director, Social Security, Women and Child Development Department, Punjab.
Under this, District Program Officer Jagroop Singh along with District Child Protection Officer Kanchan Arora is personally inspecting various play way schools under District Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar. District Program Officer Jagroop Singh said that in District Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, private institutions which are working or want to work in the field of 'Early Childhood Care and Education/Play Way School' for children aged three to six years are required to get registered.
He appealed to the managers of all pre-nursery and play way schools to get application form number 1 from the office of the District Program Officer to get their schools registered. He said that if any problem arises during registration, then coordination can be established immediately in the office of the District Program Officer, Room No. 308, 2nd Floor, District Administrative Complex (DC Office) and for more information, contact the District Child Protection Officer on contact numbers 01823-222322 and 1823-281798.
He said that all the private schools/institutions/play way schools running under the district which work for children between three to six years, are required to fulfill the criteria given by the government. Therefore, the administrators of the play way schools should coordinate with the District Program Office as soon as possible and get their schools registered.
