
Release of the book “Sahitya Ke Sitare” by Principal Bahadur Singh Gosal, felicitation ceremony and Kavi Darbar
Vishwa Punjabi Prachar Sabha, Chandigarh organized the release of the book “Sahitya Ke Sitare” by Prin. Bahadur Singh Gosal, felicitation ceremony and a grand Kavi Darbar at Senior Bhawan, Sector-24, Chandigarh today. Former Chairman of Punjab Education Board Dr. Balbir Singh Dhal, PCS attended the function as the Chief Guest. Many eminent personalities including Prin. Bahadur Singh Gosal made their special presence in the program, prominent among them were Colonel Jagtar Singh Maltani, Garmeet Singh Jada, famous litterateurs Mr. Prem Vij, Balkar Singh Sidhu, Dr. Avtar Singh Patang, Madam Hardeep Kaur, Pradhan Disha Sanstha Punjab and others.

Commencement of the function
The function was inaugurated by Colonel Jagtar Singh Jugg with the presentation of the book “Sahitya Ke Sitare” by Prin. The function began with the song “Dilli Na Kabhi Dard Jaaniya, Punjabi Singh Sardar Ka, Farl Ke Bhaaye Itihas Dekh Lo, Saal Kai Hazaraan Ka” composed by Gosal. After this, Prin. Bahadur Singh Gosal greeted the chief guest and other guests and gave information about the main literary stars written in his book “Sahitya Ke Sitare”. He thanked the literary stars present and said that today’s literary meet is a unique occasion, in which only intellectuals, famous litterateurs and poets of Tricity are present.
Release of the book and discussion
In the first phase of the function, the chief guest and the officers of the institution released the book “Sahitya Ke Sitare” written by Prin. Gosal. While discussing the book, Colonel Jagtar Singh Maltani, Paramjit Kaur Param, Garmeet Singh Jada, Madam Hardeep Virak and Jagtar Singh Jug praised the achievements of the literary stars included in the book and thanked Prin. Gosal was congratulated for this work.
Splendid Kavi Darbar
In the second phase of the festival, a spectacular Kavi Darbar was organized in which poets and lyricists mesmerized the audience with their poems and compositions. The poets who participated in the Kavi Darbar included Malkit Aujla, Baljinder Shergill, Hardeep Virak, Jaswinder Kainoor, Pyara Singh Rahin, Madam Sangeeta Sharma, Shri Prem Vij, Jaspal Singh Kanwal, Raj Kumar Sahwalia, Babu Ram Deewana, Manjit Kaur Meet, Bhapinder Bhagmajria, Dr. Panna Lal Mastafabad, Pal Ajnavi, Dalveer Sariya, Amarjit Bathlana, Rajwinder Gadu, Jagtar Singh Jug, Balkar Singh Sidhu and Darshan Singh Sidhu.
Literary stars honoured
In the third phase of the function, literary stars whose biographies were written in the book were honoured, which included Babu Ram Deewana, Paramjit Kaur Param, Kamaljit Banwait, Sabhash Bhaskar, Garcharan Badhan, Dalveer Singh Sariya, Manjit Kaur Meet. They were honoured with a shawl, book, gold medal and bouquet of flowers. On this occasion, Kamaljit Singh Banwait was appointed a member of the Deduction Commission, who was given a special honour.
Other prominent guests honoured
The chief guest of the function, Dr. Balbir Singh Dhal, was also honoured by Vishwa Punjabi Prachar Sabha, Chandigarh. This honour was given by Principal Bahadur Singh Gosal and other officials of the organization.
Closing ceremony
At the end of the function, the Meet Pradhan of the organization Bhapinder Bhagmazaria gave a vote of thanks and the role of the stage secretary of the function was beautifully played by Pradhan Darshan Singh Sidhu.
The function ended with new memories of literary meet, creating a new direction for the new generations.
