The message of making it free from gender discrimination was given.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development)-cum-Mela Nodal Officer Mrs. Sonam Chaudhary informed that on the initiative of Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Ashika Jain, a program on a social theme is organized every day to make the fair unique. Under this series, 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao' campaign was given a boost today with the support of District Program Officer Gagandeep Singh and staff.
He said that during the program, the students of Govt Girls ITI Mohali put on a vulture while the students of Ani Public School Kharar also gave a special performance. Baljinder Singh and his group gave a message on the equality of daughters through a street play. Prof. of the Civil Wing of the Government Polytechnic Khooni Majra. Poems on daughters were read by Gurbakshish Singh Antal.
Apart from this, in other activities of the fair today, around 500 students from different schools enjoyed the fair. He said that no entry fee is charged from the students who come in school uniform but they are also given healthy refreshments based on Verka products by the district administration.
He said that in the fair, Kalbelia and Nagara of Rajasthan, Bihu of Assam, Phag and Jogi Bean of Haryana, Mayur dance of Uttar Pradesh, Bazigar artists of Ludhiana, folk dances of Punjab, Bhangra, Sammi, Ludi continue all day and They convey the message of organized India.
