Special Police Observer Deepak Mishra, taking stock of the entire election arrangements, instructed that there are only a few hours left in the voting. Therefore, full seriousness should be shown to implement the preparations being made for the last two months So that the voters can exercise their right to vote without any fear or apprehension. Taking stock of the action taken by the Excise and Taxation Department and the GST Wing, he directed that a close watch should be kept on the transactions of liquor and money in the last 72 hours of the elections. He instructed the police department and said that the police has an important role in conducting fear-free and fair elections Therefore, the police department should ensure that the election process is carried out with full speed.
He said that the contribution of every officer and employee involved in the election process will be important Therefore, every employee of the crew should ensure to work with their full capacity. During the meeting, Special Observer Deepak Mishra, reviewing the work of the Media Certification Monitoring Committee, said that print and electronic media as well as social media should be closely monitored. He said that any false rumor spread on social media can create confusion among the voters So it should be ensured to monitor it seriously. He said that the voters should also be alerted immediately about the false rumors going on in the social media.
He said that the instructions of the Election Commission of India should be strictly followed during the election process And provision of wheel chairs for the elderly should be ensured including making necessary arrangements to protect the voters from heat at the polling booth. He said that the voters should be made aware in advance about the ban on carrying mobile phones inside the polling booth So that the voters do not face any kind of problem. He said that anyone can use the C-Vigil app for any kind of complaint Therefore, it should be ensured that the complaint received through this app is resolved promptly.
During the meeting, Returning Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Shaukat Ahmed Pare, giving information about Lok Sabha Constituency Patiala-13, said that on June 1, 18 lakh 6 thousand 424 voters will be able to exercise their right to vote. Among these voters there are 8 lakh 62 thousand 44 women, 9 lakh 44 thousand 300 men and 80 third gender voters. He said that 2082 polling booths have been set up in the Lok Sabha constituency for voting And for security reasons, webcasting is being ensured at every booth.
