Hansi:- Under the Government's Nasha Mukt Haryana campaign, an effective awareness program was organized on Tuesday at Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Hansi. The objective of the program was to make youth aware of the ill effects of drugs while motivating them to become healthy, safe and responsible citizens. During this, students were not only given the message to stay away from drugs, but were also made aware about prevention from cyber crimes and social evils.
In the program, specialist team of Civil Hospital, Hansi, officers of Police Cyber Cell and representatives of a voluntary organization (NGO) addressed the students. Speakers told that drugs are fatal for individual, family and society all three and youth should stay away from any kind of drugs and focus on their goal. Along with this, in view of increasing cases of cyber crimes, important information was also given about digital security, prevention from online fraud and safe use of social media.
During the program, under the leadership of Institute Principal Bhoop Singh Nokhwal, students and staff members took out a grand awareness rally.
In the rally, students carried placards with awareness messages in their hands and gave message to city residents to stay away from drugs, adopt healthy lifestyle and cooperate in building "Nasha Mukt Haryana". Awareness slogans raised during the rally attracted people's attention and spread the message of social consciousness to every person.
Various competitions were also organized with the aim of developing awareness and creative thinking among students. Students who performed excellently in competitions were honored by chief guests and Institute Principal and their enthusiasm was encouraged.
In his inspirational address, Principal Bhoop Singh Nokhwal said that youth class is the future of the country and if youth stays away from evils like drugs and moves forward in positive direction then both society and nation will become strong. He called upon students to remain drug-free themselves as well as make their family, friends and people around them aware about ill effects of drugs. He said that every student should become a messenger of awareness in society and play his important role in making Nasha Mukt Haryana campaign successful.
On this occasion, Rakesh Pannu, Vijay Singh, Lalu Ram of the institute including all instructors, staff members and students were present. The program concluded with a pledge by all participants to actively contribute in building a drug-free society.
