Chandigarh/Mansa:- The Punjab government has announced winter vacations in schools. According to the orders issued by the government today, schools will remain closed from December 24 to 31. Anandita Mitra, Secretary, School Education Department, Punjab Government, while issuing the order today, said that these orders will be applicable in government schools and private schools.
After this, schools will open on January 1. A copy of this circular has been sent by the Education Department to all schools, SCE RT and Punjab School Education Department.
There are more than 19 thousand government schools in Punjab in which more than 35 lakh students are receiving education. It is also worth mentioning that in the last few years, these holidays have also been extended after the cold weather increased in January.
