Why not send all leaked audio clips of Manipur violence for investigation Supreme Court The Supreme Court questioned the state government

New Delhi:- On the Manipur violence case, the Supreme Court today questioned why not all the leaked audio clips were sent for forensic examination. A petition had pointed out the role of former Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh in the 2023 communal violence. The court said why it was not sent for forensic examination.
The Supreme Court said it was disappointed with the affidavit filed by the petitioners on November 20, which said that only select clips were sent for examination.
The court asked the government officials why the 48-minute leaked audio clip was not sent to the National Forensic Science University (NFSU) in Gujarat for examination. The NFSU had said that the leaked audio clips were tampered with, after which they gave a clean chit.
This was followed by protests against the leadership, after which Biren Singh resigned from the post of Manipur Chief Minister on February 9. The matter was heard by a bench of Justices Sanjay Kumar and Alok Aradhe.
