There will be no compromise with the convenience cleanliness and safety of passengers in Haryana Transport Minister Anil Vij
Chandigarh, May 25:- Haryana Transport Minister Mr. Anil Vij said that now no kind of obstruction in the movement, cleanliness and safety of passengers at the bus stands of the state will be accepted. Also, strict action will be taken against illegal encroachments, additional counters, hawking and unauthorized activities at the bus stands.
He said that strict guidelines have been issued at all the bus stands of the state with the aim of stopping encroachments and providing better facilities to the passengers. It is noteworthy that these instructions have been issued by the Director General of the Transport Department to all the General Managers of Haryana Roadways in compliance with the orders given in the meeting chaired by the Transport Minister recently.
Transport Minister Anil Vij clearly said that bus stands are for the convenience of the common people and no kind of obstruction in the movement, cleanliness and safety of passengers will be accepted there and strict action will be taken against illegal encroachments, additional counters, hawking and unauthorized activities at bus stands.
No kind of encroachment will be tolerated at bus stands - Vij
Sri Vij said according to the guidelines issued that no shopkeeper, vendor or other person will encroach on the bus stand platform, road, footpath, waiting room (waiting room) or public place in any way. Shop-related goods such as racks, refrigerators, crates, tables, benches, boards or other materials will be kept only within the designated shop area. Apart from this, temporary stalls, hawkers, unauthorized vendors and setting up additional counters outside the shop will remain completely prohibited. Shopkeepers have also been instructed not to create any kind of obstruction in the movement of passengers, buses, emergency vehicles or sanitation system.
Strict action will be taken against those who install illegal electricity connections and extra electrical equipment - Vij
Transport Minister Anil Vij said that strict action will also be taken against those who install extra electrical equipment or illegal electricity connections without permission. He directed the concerned officials to ensure regular inspection of bus stands and if any kind of encroachment is found, a report should be sent to the higher authorities immediately. Mr. Vij said that the instructions have also made it clear that immediate action will be taken against those who violate the rules and the encroachment will be removed. If necessary, action like fine, cancellation of shop allotment, sealing of shop or seizure of goods can also be taken.
Transport Minister Anil Vij said that the Haryana government is continuously working towards making the bus stands of the state clean, orderly, safe and modern. He said that providing better facilities to passengers is the priority of the government and any negligence in this regard will not be tolerated.
