There will be no change in the leadership of Punjab Congress Congress leaders reprimanded in a meeting held in Delhi

Chandigarh:- There will be no change in the leadership of Punjab Congress and the Congress will fight the upcoming Punjab assembly elections unitedly. This message was given by the Congress high command in a meeting held in Delhi with the leadership of Punjab Congress today. This decision of the high command has put an end to the speculations of changing the presidency of Punjab Congress today.
The high command has also given a strong message to the leadership that no kind of factionalism will be tolerated in the state Congress.
After holding a political brainstorming session with senior leaders of Punjab in a meeting that lasted for about three hours in Delhi, All India Congress Committee General Secretary K.C. Venugopal said that there will be no change in the leadership of Punjab Congress and the Congress will contest the Punjab elections unitedly. He said that no kind of factionalism will be tolerated in the state Congress.
Venugopal said that Punjab Congress leaders have been instructed that no leader will make any public statements against each other on social media platforms and in the media and the party will keep its word on the platform. Venugopal said that the Punjab leadership has been instructed that the high command will not tolerate meeting in groups or writing letters. Any leader can meet the high command individually.
It is worth mentioning that the Congress high command had called a meeting of the party's political affairs committee today to deal with the internal strife in the Punjab Congress. The meeting held at the residence of Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge in Delhi was attended by party president Kharge, senior leader Rahul Gandhi, KC Venugopal and Punjab affairs in-charge Bhupesh Baghel along with senior leaders of the Punjab Congress.
After the meeting, Punjab affairs in-charge Bhupesh Baghel said that the party will not tolerate any kind of indiscipline and will contest the elections with unity. He clarified about the face of the Chief Minister and said that we will contest the elections under the leadership of party president Kharge and Rahul Gandhi. After the meeting, all the leaders of Punjab joined hands in front of the media and gave a message of unity. No leader from Punjab refrained from talking to the media.
In the meeting, Leader of Opposition in the Political Affairs Committee Partap Singh Bajwa, Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, senior leader Ambika Soni, MP Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Vijay Inder Singla, former Speaker Rana KP Singh, MP Dr Amar Singh etc. also attended the meeting.
It should be remembered that there has been a political uproar within the party for several days regarding the statement of MP Charanjit Singh Channi regarding the neglect of the Dalit community in key positions. Of course, Channi also presented a public explanation on this matter twice, but the matter did not calm down. The Punjab Congress was once again drawing a line over caste politics.
