Una, April 12 (Naveen Mahe): On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, a magnificent statue of him was installed within the court premises located at Una's Old Mini Secretariat. Hundreds of people participated in the program organized to mark this historic occasion, offering heartfelt tributes to Baba Saheb.
The statue was formally unveiled during the installation ceremony. Dignitaries and representatives from various social organizations present on the occasion paid their respects to Baba Saheb by offering flowers.
In his address, Amit Valmiki, State President of the Maharishi Valmiki Guru Ravidas Youth Ekta Mahasabha, stated that the installation of Baba Saheb's statue within the court complex serves as a true tribute to the Constitution he gave to the nation and to the principles of justice he upheld. He remarked that Dr. Ambedkar's life has stood as a symbol of struggle, equality, and the fight for rights.
To mark this occasion, a grand "Fateh March" (Victory March) was also organized under the leadership of the Mahasabha, proceeding from Basdehra to Una. Youth, women, and the elderly participated in the march in large numbers. Carrying blue flags and portraits of Baba Saheb, the followers marching in the procession filled the air with resounding slogans of "Jai Bhim" and "Samvidhan Zindabad" (Long Live the Constitution).
Additionally, a grand procession was held within Una city, featuring various tableaux and cultural performances that depicted the life and philosophy of Baba Saheb. The event witnessed an overwhelming turnout of Ambedkar's followers.
The organizers stated that the statue installed at the Una court complex will serve as a source of inspiration for society and will encourage future generations to walk the path of equality, justice, and brotherhood. They expressed their gratitude to all participants and collaborators for making this event a success. On this occasion, numerous dignitaries were present, including Chief Advisor Chanchal Singh, District President Ishant Dhugga, Youth President Shubham Bhatti, Mahasabha Bangana President Navdeep Mahe, Hari Chand, Rishabh Bhatti, Sahil, Ladi, Rahul Bagga, Anish, Sham Malhi, Raman Nahar, Akash, Jatin, Vishal, and Ravi Hans.
